SMART CITIES
The unique balance between industry, community and environment is the key to promoting not just a smart city, but necessarily a good city.
To be able to meet this challenging goal, we need to have a thorough knowledge of the effective needs of each agent, which in turn implies an intense process of gathering and sharing of information .
All these processes should promote a compact and diversified urban structure in which innovation, commerce and economic prosperity are encouraged.
“Undoubtedly, the industrial specialization is a valuable active that must be kept and improved as a driving force to create wealth, but also rises doubts on the possible exhaustion of the present model of economic growth of cities taking into account the gap between the productive structure of the medium cities and the referential cities of the world, and the unsustainability of any way of growth not based on an increase of productivy obtained through innovation and technological development. If an energic correction policy is not applied, that gap could increase in the next years considering also the changes that the most advanced economies of the world are adopting. That process of economic, social and cultural change is controlled by theestablishment of a new technological paradigm. informationalism.”
Manuel Castells
“If we don¹t get cities right, all our work on crime, education, health care, employment, social exclusion, and improving the economy will be undermined.”
Lord Richard Rogers
URBAN REGENERATION
The demographic pressure on the cities, the desertification of the Urban Centers, led to a progressive process of socio-urban degradation. The last few years have been marked by an increasing attention on the part of urban planners, environmentalists and population, who try to restore and/or to improve the habitability conditions of the cities. Today they are no longer considered as mere heaps of buildings and people, but in a complex system that allows the lives of millions of people of people in their space.
Quality of life has become one of the main objectives of modern cities, reflected in public policies, using development policies based on increasing the quality of the existential conditions of its citizens.
Sharing with different partners a vast experience in urban regeneration processes, JOG Urban launches into the market an innovative approach on real estate development and urban development.
We design cities as a dynamic and complex sensitive ecosystem and with limited resources having people as the focus of the change process, oriented towards sustainable development.

ABOUT US
LIVE CITIES
We conceive cities as a complex ecosystem, elevating the concept of rehabilitation to a higher level: urban regeneration. We encourage the emergence of projects that induce change, planning and development of a sustainable city that offers quality and diversity of life to its inhabitants, according to the principles:
- Respect for nature: Man, as part of a complex ecosystem, must respect nature.
- Local self-reliance: Cities should fulfil their need using local resources and talents.
- Universalize the fulfilment of the basic necessities: to contribute so that everyone has access to security, transportation, health, education, housing and food.
- Work as a source of income and self-realization: it is fundamental for the construction of citizenship, that everyone, whatever their profession or hierarchical position, have the opportunity to work and to be proud of what they do.
- Give voice to the different social segments: The different social groups must be able to participate in the processes of decision. Dialogue and Knowledge, as well as the share of interests lead to better urban planning decisions and produce a friendlier society.
- Provide leisure activities and cultural activities: Promote access to culture and leisure as they are sources of personal enrichment and motor of the development of societies, cementing a common historical and cultural heritage.
- Monitor the parts without losing sight of the whole: Planning and evaluation supported by indicators capable of measuring each important element for sustainability without, however, losing sight of the greater importance of the harmony of the whole.
